PRIVACY POLICY

Horizontal respects your personal privacy. Ensuring the security of your personal information is an important part of our job. Your personal information is never sold to anyone for any purpose.
This policy describes how Horizontal.eco, Horizontal Sleep Limited, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliate companies (collectively, “Horizontal,” “we,” or “us”) collect, use and share information.
HOW WE COLLECT AND USE INFORMATION
We may collect personally identifiable information (“PII”) such as your name, your contact information, your shipping information, and your billing information (such as credit card account data). We collect PII when you provide it to us through your use of Horizontal services, for example when you interact with our website, place an order, or sign up for our mailing list. We may combine the PII we collect with additional information from other third-party sources.
We use the PII that we collect to provide Horizontal services (such as processing and shipping your orders, or responding to customer service requests), to analyze and improve Horizontal services, and to conduct marketing. If you register for email or if you provide your email address to us, we will send you emails about a variety of topics such as store events, new products, special sales, promotional, environmental issues, and employment opportunities. Please see below for your choices regarding how we collect, use, and share your PII.
We share email activity data with our marketing email provider to help them better target emails to our clients. While our marketing email provider has access to email address, email activity and bulk/non-specific activity data, no email addresses or specific email actions are ever shared with other third parties. Should a client wish to opt out of this sharing, that client simply needs to opt out of marketing email from us.
Geographic Location. Our App uses the GPS feature of your mobile device to determine the location of the device. We and our third-party vendors or partners may collect and use this geographic location data for purposes such as the functioning of the App, to make our advertising more relevant, and to improve Horizontal services. For example, we may use location information to provide the address and directions for the nearest Horizontal Pop Up location. We do not store geographic location data in combination with PII. If you do not want us to collect and use your device’s geographic location, you can control this function in your application settings by disabling location services for your device, or by uninstalling the App, but these choices will affect your ability to use the App.
Non-Personal Information. We automatically collect certain nonpersonal information when you use Horizontal services. For example, we collect information about the devices you use to connect to our services (such as the IP address of your computer or numeric identifier of your mobile device) and about how you use Horizontal services (such as what time you visit our website). We, our advertisers and ad servers may also collect non-personal information outside of Horizontal services to measure the success of our advertising campaigns. We use the non-personal information that we collect for a variety of purposes such as to provide and improve Horizontal services, and to analyze and offer our advertising.
Our website also uses third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics. We and our affiliates use analytics data for a variety of purposes such as to improve the design and content of our website, to help us learn things like what pages are most appealing to our visitors, what stories or promotions visitors like to see, and to gauge the success of our advertising campaigns.
Information You Post. All information that you share about yourself, whether PII or not, in a public open forum such as on a social network, will be considered public information for the purposes of this policy. If you don’t want it to be public, please don’t post it.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not disclose your PII to third parties, except as follows:
To companies that provide services to us or perform functions on our behalf (such as processing credit card payments or taking orders) who have agreed to use your information only for the purposes we request; To send our offers and information to Horizontal clients on behalf of our companies, and on behalf of other non-affiliated partners such as environmental groups we support; When we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with applicable law, legal process, and/or governmental authorities; When we believe disclosure is appropriate to enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements, or to protect our rights, our customers, our property, our employees, or others; and, If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or some other corporate change.
De-identified, aggregated, or other non-personal information may be disclosed to third parties at our discretion. Horizontal services or offerings on social media platforms may include commenting, forums, sharing, or other similar features. Information that you provide using these features may be available to other users or the general public.
YOUR CHOICES
With your PII, such as information you give us to fulfill an order, you have the option to change or correct your information and the choice of not hearing from us again. There are several ways you can control our use of your PII in connection with marketing and promotions:
Remove your name from our lists. You can choose to decline communications from us at the point that we request your PII. Or after we have collected your PII, you can choose to stop our communications, or stop us from sharing your information with other companies for their marketing purposes. To exercise any of these options, please contact us by email using the contact information below.
Stop email communications. If you receive email communications from us and want to opt out of receiving such communications in the future, you can click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.
Stop collection of geographic location. If you do not want us to collect your device’s geographic location through our App, you can disable that function when you first use the App or in your device settings. This will prevent you from using some features of the App.

CORRECTING OR UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION
A cookie is a small text file stored on a user’s hard drive. Cookies are required to shop on our site. We also use cookies to assist with anonymous site traffic analysis, which includes tracking the time/date of visits, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
We may use cookies to serve our re-marketing campaigns so that third-party vendors, such as Google and Facebook, show our ads on sites across the Internet. You can opt out of the third parties’ use of cookies by visiting their advertising preferences settings.
We may also use web beacons or pixel tags to compile tracking information reports regarding website user demographics, website traffic patterns, and website purchases. None of the tracking information in these reports can be connected to the identities or personal information of individual users. For our own research purposes we may link tracking information with personal information voluntarily provided by website users. Once such a link is made, all of the linked information is treated as personal information and will be used and disclosed only in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
SOCIAL NETWORKING
When you use certain aspects of Horizontal’s website or other services, or you post information to other social networking sites (such as posting a link to Horizontal’s Facebook or Twitter pages, or “liking” a product on your Facebook account), the personal information that you post or share in connection with these thirdparty sites is visible to other persons and can be read, collected, used and disclosed by other persons. Any information you provide to such third-party social networking sites and other sites is outside of Horizontals control and is not governed by this policy.
THIRD PARTY ANALYTICS OR AD SERVING SERVICES
Providers of these services may independently collect, use, and disclose your IP address together with information about your visits to this and other websites that they service in accordance with their own privacy policies (and not this privacy policy). These services may use their own cookies and other data collection technologies. They may use this information in order to improve your experience, to gain a view of how people are using websites that they service so that improvements can be made, and as otherwise permitted in their privacy policies.
Horizontal may also use targeted advertising service providers to tailor our advertisements to your preferences. These advertisements may appear on Horizontal’s website or social media sites. If you have opted to receive email news or offers, Horizontal may use your email address to target advertising to you. You may opt out of these targeted ad programs by unsubscribing from Horizontal’s email newsletter.
ONLINE ORDER INFORMATION AND SECURITY
If you place an order online, we require only the information needed to complete the processing of your orders and billing. In order to bill and ship your order we share users’ personal information with outside shipping companies and credit card processing companies, but we do not provide any more information than necessary for these purposes. We may also use the information to contact you regarding your order.
OUR SITE SECURITY
We use appropriate security safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. Any personal information you provide to Horizontal in connection with a product order is exchanged on a secure server. We use one of today’s most advanced security systems, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, to encrypt, or encode, information you send to us in the order process. The encryption process protects information, such as your credit card number, and billing and shipping information by scrambling it before it is sent from your computer. Only once we receive your information is it decoded, and we make all reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our own systems.
UPDATES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
If/when Horizontal modifies this Privacy Policy, changes or revisions will be posted at this location. At any time you can check to see if this Privacy Policy has changed.
