cost comparison of Horizontal bed versus a Naturepedic bed in US dollars

NATUREPEDIC EOS PILLOWTOP, 7” STD FOUNDATION

We know Naturpedic comes from a good place. They use some of the same natural materials as Horizontal…respect! However, Naturpedic’s bed/mattress continues to mimic conventional petroleum bed/mattress design, with multiple mattresses stacked like a layer cake, with an enclosed foundation below. Remember “The Princess and The Pea” ? No matter how thick you pile up that padding, the bed does not get any more comfortable.

Thick, bulky and dense bed/mattresses significantly inhibit healthy air flow; and those coil springs below are a problem. Find out why here.

Avocado uses Dunlop latex like Horizontal but inside, Avocado is mostly metal springs. Today, with made man electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) now vastly exceeding Nature’s limits, Do you really want to spend 1/3 of your life sleeping on an  ‘antenna’?

Unlike its namesake friendly ghost, Casper and cohorts are environmentally terrifying.

Casper describes ‘Platform’ as being made from,“..the same stuff planes and rocketships are made of, so you know it will last.”. So why is Platform’s warranty limited to only 5 years? And, why is Casper on this list? Because Casper’s own prices prove that for about $600 USD less, you could sleep chemical free on a Horizontal Bed for your entire life. Reduce, Rejuvenate, and Revise your expectations!

cost comparison of Horizontal bed versus a Duxiana bed in US dollars

DUXIANA DUX 1001 XUPPORT

Duxiana is a well regarded bed maker. No doubt, in 1926 coil springs were the best choice, but human circumstances have changed a lot. So many springs, so many layers of springs. In fact, up to 2 miles of metal inside a Dux bed! That burns a lot of carbon. Is this the way to make a bed during Climate Breakdown? Does Dux’s ‘Pascal’ comfort system need petro-polyurethane foam? An otherwise good bed is diminished by its reliance on petroleum and metal.

Just like Horizontal, Duxiana uses Dunlop latex. Duxiana’s closest comparable bed costs about $2,882 USD more than Horizontal. Luxury is nice, eco-luxury is better.

Price Calculation Methodology:

  4. All prices are accurate based on the information made public by the Companies being compared at time of this publication. From time to time Horizontal will update these comparisons.
